Doom Eternal to downolad
Classic first-person shooter game
Doom Eternal is an action game developed by id Software. In this game, you will take on the role of Doom Slayer or ‘the Marine.’ He is also referred to as Doomguy in earlier versions of Doom. He attacks hordes of demons in increasingly gory detail. The ‘mortally challenged personnel’ were released from hell to overrun the earth. You must go to Earth’s surface, outer space and beyond to combat the demons that are escaping the confines of hell. You will get to run, gun, dash, leap and brutally chainsaw your way throughout this arcade-style point-and-shoot romp.
Richer gaming experience
The original Doom series was known more for its violent, mind-numbing gameplay. But this changed when the reboot was released; creators added a solid and comprehensive storyline that would justify the violence. This addition did not stall the action. In fact, it enriched the game further. Doom Eternal is no different. The plot is more present than before, but your urge to chainsaw everything will be even stronger. The purpose of the storyline is to provide an overarching context to the brutality but it has minimal effect on your combat.
The game’s combat system is straightforward. Damaging a demon will cause them to stagger. This means they will stop long enough for them to glow. The glowing demon is a signal for you to perform your ‘Glory Kill’ which allows you to perform your finishing move and see its effect up-close. The time spent on concluding your opponent’s life allows you to refill your health bar. You can also vanquish your enemies by using a chainsaw or flamethrowers. Their death will ultimately yield ammo and armor refills.
Highly-rewarding gameplay
Doom is designed to keep you moving. So much so that there is a pop-up notification dedicated to reminding you to keep moving or you could die. The most basic strategy you can have while playing Doom is to constantly be on the move. This will not only land you more kills, but you will be able to harvest more resources.
The first level introduces the premise of Doom Eternal. ‘Hell on Earth’ introduces the denizens that have ascended on Earth. This is where you’ll notice that Doom that the guns deliver a powerful whiplash and the chainsaws can get out of control. The second level, Fortress of Doom, dives deeper on the platforming mechanics by taking you to the hellfire of the underworld. The floating islands of Hell have made its return. So, you have to put your jumps and dashes to good use.
The increase in difficulty is standard amongst games. What makes Doom Eternal different from other shooter games is that each level highlights a certain set of skills. There is an exhaustive list in the game that allows you to modify the leveling and upgrade system. The options can be repetitive but it ultimately allows you to tweak even the nuances of the game.
An eternal classic
Doom Eternal surpasses the previous Doom title by offering a rich new storyline but without sacrificing the gruesome action that the game has always been known for. This is good for players of all user-levels and for fans of the game as you can jump into the gameplay right away.
